Far -west Banda Enters 18 th Day

The situation in the Far-Western region is pretty much the same with the general strike entering its 18th day today. Normal life in all 9 districts of the region has been paralyzed with the agitation for the undivided Far Western region showing no signs of abating. The strike has prolonged even after the arrival of talks team representing the Far West Struggle Committee in the capital as its talks with the government hasn't made any progress at all.
Meanwhile, Life in Tarai region has also been affected by a 5-day strike called by a group calling itself 'Pro-Federalism Joint Struggle Committee' in protest of the Undivided Far-West movement, with its demand of autonomous ethnic states in the new constitution.
