Nepal into ACC U-16 semis as group winner

KATHMANDU, 
 Nepal stormed into the semifinals of the ongoing ACC U-16 Elite Cup cricket tournament being held in Malaysia as the Group B winner after narrowly defeating the home team by one wicket in its last group-stage match at the Kinrara cricket ground in Kuala Lampur on Wednesday.

Sent in to field first, Nepal restricted to a modest 139 all out in 37.1 overs. Nepal got past the target losing nine wickets with seven balls remaining. Man of the Match Akash Bista scored 55 not out for the winning team. 

This is Nepal´s fourth win in as many matches in the tournament. Nepal will face the runner-up from Group A in a semifinal clash on Friday. Despite today´s loss, Malaysia has also entered the semifinals as the Group B runner up.
